If there's one thing electronic music legend EDDIE is known for, it's his ability to make music that defies categorization. Sure, you can label him as dubstep or progressive house or even just 'dance music' - but his chameleonic musical persona is what sets him apart from the rest.

He can dip his feet into the waters of any genre and when paired together with his squeaky clean production, he's unstoppable. It's no surprise then that when he's paired up with visual virtuoso turned indelible bass producer FISE and the ferocious vocal powerhouse known as Colleen D'Agostino, the results are substantially earth-shattering.

Attendees of Rezz Rocks IV might remember EDDIE and FISE as part of the supporting lineup and in fact, that's where the two met. "I met FISE at Rezz Rocks 2022 and we hit it off quickly, he's an absolute legend," EDDIE recalls. He continues, "we chatted about music and visuals
and how a collab between us could be an absolute mid tempo monster with an extraordinary visual experience." "Damned" is indeed an indisputable monster of a track, boasting a guttural beat pulsing behind a wall of immaculately crafted, downright vicious bass.

To add that much needed vocal sheen to this masterpiece, there is no better voice imaginable than frequent mau5trap collaborator Colleen D'Agostino. She dug deep to write the lyrics and deliver a passionate earworm of a vocal track: "When EDDIE sent me the instrumental, I
immediately connected with the dark and emo vibe. “Damned” is a song about resisting the demons that try to pull us down. When I wrote the lyrics, I’d been dealing with health issues, anxiety, and depression. It kind of served as a reminder to myself to keep fighting," she muses. D'Agostino's relatable lyrics and her inimitable voice are undoubtedly the glue that holds "Damned" together, making this a quintessential must-listen within the Hypnovizion catalog.
